How does the world transform when we direct our gaze to the smallest details? In the Gal sculptures, each shell gestates a secret narrative.
The piece invites the gaze to dive into the subtleties of the world around us, transporting us to a universe where there are no limits between dream and reality.
At first, the gaze is magnetized to a simple shell, which then reveals its hidden narrative:
In "Gal," two women lean against each other, recreating a late 16th-century Renaissance painting titled "Portrait of Gabrielle d'Estrées and her Sister as Cupid and Venus" by an unknown author.
The interpretation of this work is controversial and raises several questions. Some believe that the painting represents the intimate relationship between sisters, while others suggest that it is an allegory of a love relationship. There are still those who interpret the work as a representation of beauty and eroticism or as a portrait of feminine intimacy at a time when art was exclusively viewed from a male perspective.
The Gal sculpture invites the gaze to dive into the subtleties of details, where surprising narratives take place that speak of sisterhood, love, beauty, and eroticism from a female perspective.
The piece was named in honor of Gal Costa.
RIO IS A WOMAN.
Material: Sterling Silver with 18K Gold plating.

Important to note:
All 925 sterling silver jewelry with 18k gold plating requires special care and is subject to changes in its appearance. The gold plating is a thin layer with low adhesion to the 925 Sterling silver, so contact with various surfaces, exposure to chemicals found in creams and perfumes, and the pH of the skin itself act as a polish or react with this thin layer, gradually removing it and revealing the 925 Sterling silver underneath. When the gold plating wears off, it is possible to replate the piece or clean it to use it as 925 Sterling silver.
