“Ear”

Paola Vilas is a multidisciplinary designer-artist from Rio dedicated to creating distinctive sculptural jewelry, home decor, and interior design.

In her new launch, Paola creates an sculpture-object that takes us away from the monotony of everyday experience, transporting us to a universe of dreams.

The piece “Orelha” brings life to inanimate spaces, subverting the way we perceive our surroundings. It is the result of an investigation into the mystical symbolism of the ears and ears as a connection channel with a cosmic intelligence.

Paola also experiments in a playful way with the curious expression “The walls have ears”, materializing a world that was only possible in the imagination until then.

When sculpting its shapes and volumes, Paola finds an intriguing organicity and unexpected beauty, which makes her produce the piece isolated from a body and on a scale that allows its observation from another perspective. The solid brass gives the object preciousness.

The brass sculpture can be placed on walls or transformed into a unique ashtray.
